"THE RAPE OF THE SABINE" Giambologna (copy by G.Ruggeri) 600030068

The sculptural group "The Rape of the Sabine" was created by the Italian sculptor Giambologna in 1582. The plot is taken from the Roman legend about the abduction of Sabine women by the Romans. It is believed that the sculpture was made from the largest block of marble ever delivered to Florence. Exhibited at the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence.

The copy was made by the Italian sculptor Gino Ruggeri for a factory that produces copies of sculptures for the Vatican Museums, the Metropolitan Museum, the Hermitage and other museums around the world.

The material of the sculpture is marble powder, the base material is marble. Dimensions 9.1"x7.5"x25.6" (23х19х65 cm), weight 18.9 lbs (8.6 kg).

Available in white and gray marble.
