"ATLAS SLAVE" by Michelangelo (copy by G.Ruggeri) H25 cm 600030093

  "The Captives (Slaves)" is a group of six statues conceived by Michelangelo for the tomb of Pope Julius II. Only two statues (The Rebellious Slave and The Dying Slave) were completed by the sculptor in 1513 and are now in the Louvre in Paris, the other four sculptures were created in 1525-1530, but remained unfinished and are now in the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence.

The statuette was made by the Italian sculptor Gino Ruggeri for a factory that produces copies of sculptures for the Vatican Museums, the Metropolitan Museum, the Hermitage and other museums around the world.

The material of the sculpture is marble powder, the base material is marble. Dimensions:  4.3"x 3.9"x H9.8" (11 x 10 x H25 cm), weight 4.4 lbs (2.0 kg).

Available in white and gray marble.
