Pieta is a mournful image of Mary mourning Jesus Christ taken down from the cross, embodied in marble by the brilliant Michelangelo at the age of 25. Located in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
The copy of the masterpiece was made by the Italian sculptor Amilcare Santini for a factory that produces copies of sculptures for the Vatican Museums, the Metropolitan Museum, the Hermitage and other museums around the world.
The material of the sculpture is marble powder, the base material is marble. Dimensions 11.4" x 5.9" x H13.4" (29 x 15 x H34 cm), weight 21.6 lbs (9.8 kg).
Available in white and gray marble.
